Arabic

Kuva: Aran Mtnez

Arabic with its many varieties is among the world’s most widely spoken languages. In Finland, Arabic has become the third most spoken foreign language by native speaker  – so speaking it would be useful for an increasing number of Finns, both at work and in free time. Arabic language skills are the key to a better understanding of Arab culture and an asset in trade, tourism and education.

At Movi, you can learn Arabic starting from the basics. Colloquial Arabic is taught on the courses, while standard Arabic is mainly used when learning to write. You will practise reading and writing the Arabic alphabet, learn to understand and participate in simple discussions, and develop practical everyday communication skills in Arabic.

The courses also provide basic information on Arab culture and its impact on language usage in the various parts of the Arab world. At the same time, you will be introduced to the different written and spoken forms of the language.
