Survival Finnish or My Finnish?
Please note that you can only choose one of these courses.
Survival Finnish is intended for exchange students who stay in Finland only for a term or a year, and just want to learn some basic phrases and get an overall idea of what the Finnish language is like. Survival Finnish focuses particularly on developing the strategic skills that facilitate the understanding of the language. Non-registered students or degree students cannot participate in the course.
Managing in Finnish in your daily life is the starting point also in the My Finnish course, but there you will develop the various subareas of language skills and analyse grammatical structures more. My Finnish suits students who want to study Finnish more and potentially intend to stay in Finland longer than just one term.
After My Finnish you can continue your Finnish studies in Everyday Finnish, but not after Survival Finnish.
