Movi provides JYU staff with support and tools for developing their interaction skills:

All staff training in communication and languages Movi provides short language and communication modules for the entire JYU staff.
Teaching Academic Content through English The TACE programme is intended for teaching staff who use English as the language of instruction.

Finnish as a second language for staff The modules for Finnish as a second language range from beginner’s courses to those enhancing the basic skills needed in the workplace.
Internationalisation Staff and teacher mobility broaden your perspectives and develop your competence.
Each One Teach One A tandem programme where the participants teach each other their native language and study their partner’s language.

The University of Jyväskylä Language Policy supports and facilitates internationalisation:

”The language policy promotes dynamic multilingualism, the ability to flexibly and rapidly react to communicative situations, the willingness to resort to even limited language skills as well as an open mind and a positive attitude towards different languages and language use. Modern multilingualism encompasses spontaneous and flexible co-existence of parallel languages in various communicative situations.” (p. 1)
